Lucentee's XL Ice Ball Maker

I was fortunate enough to get to try out this XL Ice Ball Maker at a discounted price for my honest and unbiased review of the product.  All my reviews I will do on this blog is my honest opinions on the products themselves giving some pros and cons and the description of the products themselves.

Lets get started!

This is the box the product comes in.  The product itself is a silicone mold that you pour water into to make the ice balls.  There are holes on the top as you can see below and I felt it was easiest just pouring them straight into the hols at top until it starts to overflow.  Throw it in the freezer and wait for it to freeze!

Once frozen you are supposed to pick up the mold, twist the mold to crack the ice so that the ice balls will break apart from the rest of the ice.  Doing so, the ice cubes should come out in circles.  Now for me, it did not work out so well with it being a perfect ball, but it was not terrible.  I ended up putting the corners under water to break off the excess parts, but here is what they look like.

PROS

Big ice cubes
Very good for a small glass of liquor for the end of the night. Just one ice ball and you are good to go for the night.
Ice balls are big enough for you to use one or 2 with a glass of soda/water and lasts a good amount of time before melting.
This product seems to be pretty durable and will last a long time.
Another good thing is that you can rinse it out in the sink to wash the mold and or throw it in the dish washer and that is it!
You can fill the mold with other things then just water.  You can even make lolly pops with this.
Just stick a lollipop stick inside the holes in the top, fill the mold with a tasty beverage, and let it freeze.  Once frozen you have yourself a lollipop!

CONS

Think the mold should be a little bigger to hold more ice balls.
There can come a time to where the balls may not fit every cup.
Price is just a little much, but not too much to where I would not buy another..
